Directions to make Custard
Consistency
Pourable : custard powder 30ml, sugar 45ml, milk 500ml
Med Thick: custard powder 45ml, sugar 45ml, milk 500ml
Thick : custard powder 67.5ml, sugar 45ml, milk 500ml
Use more or less sugar according to taste
Directions – Stove Top
- Mix custard powder, sugar and milk together
- Bring 450ml to a boil in a saucepan
- Pour custard mix into boiling milk, stir well
- Bring to the boil, stirring continuously
- Serve hot or cold
Directions – Microwave
Place custard powder, sugar and 50ml milk into 1 litre microwaveable jug, mix together, add remainder of milk and stir well, microwave on high (100%) for 7.5 mins (500W) / 5 mins (650-700W) or until mixture boils, stirring at 2 minute intervals
